abyca

ABCya provides over 300 fun and educational games for grades PreK through 6. Our activities are designed by parents and educators, who understand that children learn better if they are having fun. Games are categorized by grade and subject, and cover topics such as multiplication, parts of speech, typing, pattern recognition, and more. This app allows for differentiation, especially for students that might have difficulty with screen awareness during online learning.

Pixton

Pixton is a cartoon creation tool that allows students to create comics. This service enables teachers to create private rooms for their students in which they can collaboratively create and share their comics. This app connects to UDL by providing students with multiple means of representation via different media.

Jack Hartmann Kids Music Channel

Jack Hartmann provides a lot of online video content that provides different means of media and engagement for students. His videos have really helped with accessing and reaching students in online learning (particularly the counting videos).

CrashCourse

CrashCourse can supplement lessons with multiple means of media. This can engage students in various ways. (Sometimes, dropping the video playback speed to 0.75 has been helpful in addition to using CC).

Mathway

Mathway can provide students an instructional calculator and demonstration on how to complete problems. This can provide independent scaffolding for students that need more time to decode math problems.

Free School

The playlists can provide multiple means of media. Their Literature Playlist offers some popular children’s books that read the pages out loud. This can function as an independent and group option for students to go at their own paces.
